Dr. Michael Haid

Michael is Chief Executive Officer of EDL. His responsibility includes strategy, technology, sales and commercial. Among EDL’s and Michael’s top priorities are the development and provision of sustainable technologies, products and services for the refining and hydrocarbon processing industries, including residue processing, power-to-X and plastics-to-oil. Prior to this, Michael held various engineering and management positions in different engineering and contracting companies worldwide. He has more than 27 years of national and international experience and extensive technical expertise in project and contract management, engineering and construction as well as technology development. Michael studied process engineering in Karlsruhe, Germany and in Auckland, New Zealand and holds a PhD in process engineering.
